Course Description:
The business analyst is an exciting and growing field in America with a large number of job
opportunities available. This role is responsible for investigating business systems, identifying
options for improving business systems and bridging the needs of the business with the use of
Information Technology.
The Post Graduate Diploma in Business Systems Analysis & Project Management program
covers key fundamental IT concepts including Object Oriented Design, Database Design, and
Modeling, Enterprise Application Integration, and Data-driven reporting and dashboards.
In this business analyst course, you will learn to thoroughly analyze the business needs and
processes, then designing and testing a solution. The program will also help you develop
critical skills and competencies in the areas of problem identification, documenting and
analyzing user requirements, process and workflow modeling, communication and facilitation,
project management, technical writing, leadership and management and decision-making.
Our program will ensure that students complete the program with the knowledge and
confidence necessary to succeed in this exciting field.
This course prepares students for employment in the field of hands-on Business Analysis tools
and techniques including: Requirements Engineering, Use Case Modeling and Analysis,
Running JAD sessions and Requirement workshops, Creating Functional and Technical
requirement specifications, Plan and facilitate systems testing, Key Project Management skills.
After Studying this programs student will gain Technical skills such as I.T Engineering systems
concepts and principles, Technical computer knowledge, Complex modeling techniques
(UML, CASE Tools), Technical writing. After pursuing this program students will gain
Analytical and conceptual skills and enhance their skills in Planning, documentation, analysis
and business requirements management techniques, Object-oriented analysis, Evaluation of
profitability/risk, Testing, verification and validation techniques, Creation of the Business
Requirements Document – BRD and Administrative and reporting abilities.
The program provides knowledge of business processes, ability to have a business-oriented
vision, improvement of business and engineering processes, strategic planning- Case
development and Business writing.
You will also gain a unique hands-on experience by participating in a classroom based, project
case studies related to various industries. Classroom knowledge will then be linked to practical
usage through participation in a work placement (3 months Internship).

(ERD) - Understand basic concepts of iterative development & Rational Unified Process (RUP)
- Understand the BA role with respect to Quality assurance
- Adapt approach to work in any project or organization
